Reign of Discordia 2nd Eidtion Up On Kickstarter

Sure, life under the evil empire wasn’t the best, but it was at least someone in charge. They may be gone, but nobody’s really filled in yet. It’s a wile galaxy out there, ripe for exploration. And that’s where you find yourself in Reign of Discordia, the 2nd edition of which is up on Kickstarter now.

From the campaign:

Reign of Discordia 2nd edition

What happens after the evil empire falls but nobody is there to pick up the pieces? Who will resolve interstellar conflicts and bring peace? Who will protect the former member worlds? How do we grow beyond the sins of our past?

Reign of Discordia is a science fiction space opera setting by veteran RPG author Darrin Drader and published by Darrin Drader Designs (DDD). Inspired by the retro-futurism of the 1970s and 80s, such as the original Star Wars trilogy, Battlestar Galactica, and Starblazers, Reign of Discordia is a setting where heroes are needed, and opportunities are growing. Laid low by the reptilian R’Tillek, the Stellar Imperium is no more. In the five years after, the former inhabitants struggled against an enemy capable of destroying all life on former member worlds. Hope arrived in the form of a technological relic from a long forgotten world just as the R’Tillek sought to destroy the Lamagos homeworld.

It is now ten years after the fall of the Stellar Imperium. While the R’Tillek were defeated, the relic destabilized the star that world orbited, and it will soon go supernova. The Lamagos, who have always had a totalitarian bent, are now determined to survive by taking what they want from their former allies, igniting wars throughout known space.

Reign of Discordia 2nd edition supports play in both eras of the setting, so if you’d rather play in the early days after the fall, that option is also open.

The campaign’s up and over its funding goal with 27 days left to go.
