Want to make your minis look Good? No, better than that, Amazing? Well, then you want to check out the The Art Of… series from Dave Taylor Miniatures. 1-3 are available now. 4-6 are coming to Kickstarter next week.

On May 10, 2022, Dave Taylor Miniatures is launching a Kickstarter to fund the second set of books in THE ART OF… series that highlight the miniatures work, the approach, and the philosophies of a broad spread of miniatures painters that Dave has come to admire over his three decades of participating in this incredible hobby. These artists will cover a variety genres, and may or may not be recognized as leaders in their chosen focal areas. Regardless, they all have something valuable to bring to the wider miniatures painting world.
These books are both a celebration of the artist and their art, as well as an opportunity for them to present their thoughts on particular topics and let the world know why they approach their art the way they do. They will not be “How To” books, but may include some “how to” examples. These books also are not formulaic, instead following the path determined by each artist to better showcase their unique outlook on their art.
We successfully launched the series with three books in 2021 – featuring the work of the Miniature Monthly team, plus Christof Keil and Ana Polanscak. This year we’ll add three more books – featuring the wonderful artists Chris Suhre, Tommie Soule, and Seyni N’diaye. We’re planning on adding two or three books each year for the foreseeable future. These books will range between 96- and 176-pages, and will sell for between $35-50.
