Can We Keep It? RPG Supplement Up On Kickstarter

April 28, 2022 by Polar_Bear

In the D&D game I’m in, Leylanna, our party’s wizard loves cute critters as much as she loves casting Fireball (and she LOVES casting Fireball). Even non-cute critters she’s like, “But can we keep it?” Now here’s a supplement for her and other characters like her. It’s called, appropriately enough, Can We Keep It? and it’s all about befriending and making pets of whatever type of thing you might happen to come across. The book is up on Kickstarter now.

From the campaign:

Do you have a party of players who want to befriend every critter and monster they come across? Then this collection is for you!

This 5E supplement includes:

  • Rules to allow player characters of all classes to adopt nearly 50 different pets from weasels to warhorses, and from frogs to giant crabs.
  • 5 new tameable pets from the Elemental Planes–the bubble puppy, dust bunny, lightning sparrow, mud cat, and root.
  • Yes, we said bubble puppy.
  • New mechanics to help manage pets, including morale and maintenance.
  • Motivated encounters to spice up random encounters with creatures
  • A mini-adventure featuring the eccentric Lady Philomina—who keeps rust monsters as pets!

Originally published in PDF in EN5ider Magazine, we’re bringing you this 30-page softcover collection of pet themed resources for your 5th edition games for the next 2 weeks.

Optionally, you can also pick up 14 other softcover 5E supplements produced in previous Kickstarters, delving into a whole range of adventuring resources such as unique dragon antagonists, exotic and dangerous plug-in locations, weird magical trinkets, a collection of exciting one-page adventures, new archetypes, and a whole bunch more!

The campaign’s well past their funding goal (granted, they weren’t asking for a lot) with 11 days left to go.
