Niantic confirms Solgaleo, Lunala, Pyukumuku, Bruxish, Wishiwashi, Crabrawler, Palossand and more Alola Pokémon are coming soon to Pokémon GO during the Season of Alola

Niantic has announced a new season for Pokémon GO. Read on below to learn more:

Pokémon from the sunny, tropical Alola region are making their debut in the new Pokémon GO Season.

Update 3/2/2022: Solgaleo, Lunala, Pyukumuku, Bruxish, Wishiwashi, Crabrawler, Palossand and more Alola Pokémon are coming soon to Pokémon GO during the Season of Alola. Comfey is only available as a regional exclusive in Hawaii.

Anew Season is starting in Pokémon GO, and with it comes the debut of more Pokémon first found in the sunny region of Alola. Through Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time, Pokémon like Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio will be appearing in the wild, kicking off a Tropical Collection Challenge. Catch all the Pokémon in the Collection Challenge to contribute to your Elite Collector medal, as well as earn 7,000 XP and 15 Ultra Balls. Stock up on malasadas, and get ready to catch the following Pokémon during the Season of Alola!


  • Rowlet, Dartrix, Decidueye
  • Litten, Torracat, Incineroar
  • Popplio, Brionne, Primarina
  • Pikipek, Trumbeak, Toucannon
  • Yungoos, Gumshoos
  • Rockruff, Midday Forme Lycanroc, Midnight Forme Lycanroc
    • Rockruff will evolve using 50 Candy into Midday Forme Lycanroc during daytime or into Midnight Forme Lycanroc at night in Pokémon GO
    • Shiny Rockruff, Shiny Midday Forme Lycanroc and Shiny Midnight Forme Lycanroc are also now available
  • Jangmo-o, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o
  • Tapu Koko

While many of the Pokémon making their debuts during the Season of Alola will be appearing in the wild, others will be appearing in raids and as reward encounters for completing themed Field Research tasks. And while all the Pokémon debuting during the Season of Alola will continue to be available after the Season concludes, you’ll have a limited amount of time to complete the Tropical Collection Challenge—so be sure to make catching those Pokémon a priority!
