It’s looking like we might start getting back to some kind of semblance of normal this year as several shows are looking to happen again. One such is FnordCon from Steve Jackson Games. Pre-registration is open now.
From the announcement:
Plague permitting, we will host FnordCon 5 here in Austin, at the Southpark Hotel near our office, on April 29 – May 1. Pre-registration and the hotel room block are now open at www.sjgames.com/fnordcon.
Our guest of honor will be John Kovalic! Creator of Dork Tower, founding artist for Munchkin, and all-around nice guy, John is a long-time gamer himself.
We’re also going to feature talks by Steve and Phil; tournaments and open play of Munchkin and Car Wars; the “Steve against the World” Ogre game on 10 boards at once; lots of roleplaying; and all-weekend demos of 3D miniatures printing.
We have a preliminary schedule of events available now.
We know that not everyone can attend, or is ready to return to live events, so we do plan on having some live-stream integration as well. Stay tuned for more specific event information.
Safety-wise, we will require proof of vaccination and masks from attendees. Of course, with changing rates of COVID and the ever-changing local ordinances, we will keep everyone up to date if anything shifts.
