What if Magick were a resource like oil or gold is here in the real world? Well, there’s a good chance that, like in the real world, several large corporations will be trying to get as much of it as they can out of the ground, the impact to the health and well-being of the planet be damned. It’s into this type of world that you find yourself in The Means of Magick, a new RPG that’s up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
The Means of Magick is a tabletop RPG set in the aftermath of the Magick-Industrial Revolution. Megacorps are vying for control of the economy by extracting mass amounts of magick from the earth, which is slowly killing the planet. Players will have to face off against unusual natural disasters, corrupted flora and fauna, and the insidious corporations themselves.
We want our players to be able to tell stories about a world in crisis, where people can come together to enact meaningful change in their communities.
Your support of this campaign will help fund the Means of Magick corebook. This book contains all of the rules both the players and the narrator need to play the game, including character creation and leveling rules, a guide to skills and spells, setting, and a short adventure to get you started.
The campaign’s about 3/5 of the way to its goal with 15 days left to go.
