In March, Thunderworks Games will release Tenpenny Parks, a game about building theme parks.
Over five rounds of play, Tenpenny Parks challenges players to construct the most attractive theme parks they can. Each round, they deploy their workers to a variety of tasks, from clearing land to constructing rides and other attractions, drawing from themes like the stone age, the wild west, fantasy, outer space, and under the sea. After each round, the parks are rated for their ability to induce Thrill, Awe, and Joy, with the most evocative parks earning “Visiting People” points.
Tenpenny Parks was created by new designer Nate Linhart and features illustrations by Vincent Dutrait (Jaipur, The Quest for El Dorado). The game is intended for 1 to 4 players, ages 14 and up, and pays in around an hour. MSRP is $59.95.
Earlier this year, Thunderworks released the cooperative Roll Player Adventures and a game about property development called Cape May (see “Thunderworks Reveals more Summer Plans”), as well as a sequel to Cartographers (see “Thunderworks Games Unveils ‘Cartographers Heroes’”).
