Just in time for
the Halloween season, the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Spooky Cup 2021 in-game competition has
begun. From Thursday, October 14, 2021,
at 5:00 p.m. until Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, you can take
part in this aptly named competition alongside your scariest-looking Pokémon
partners. As an added twist, only the final evolved forms of Pokémon can
battle—for example, you can have Crobat on your team, but not Zubat or Golbat. Trainers
who participate in at least one Spooky Cup 2021 battle, regardless of whether
they win or lose, will earn 50 Battle Points.
The Spooky Cup 2021 is comprised of Double Battles. Duplicate Pokémon and duplicate items are not permitted.
To view your rankings after the competition has ended, follow these steps:

Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.

Open the X menu.

Select VS.

Select Battle Stadium.

Select Online Competitions.

Select Search Official Competitions.
To receive your participation gift after the competition, follow these steps:

Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield game.

Open the X menu.

Select Mystery Gift.

Select Get a Mystery Gift.

Select Get Battle Stadium Rewards.
