The Season of Discovery has come to an end, and so begins a
new era of mystery, wonder, and mischief! From Wednesday, September 1,
2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time,
the Season of Mischief will offer Trainers tons of opportunities to catch Pokémon,
complete research, and take part in exciting events. The Mythical Psychic- and
Ghost-type Pokémon Hoopa will also make its Pokémon GO debut, and Trainers can
encounter it by completing a new Special Research story, Misunderstood Mischief.
The hoopla will kick into high gear with a special event
commemorating Hoopa’s arrival on Sunday, September 5, 2021, from 11:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. Throughout the day, Trainers can complete a
Collection Challenge, earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon, obtain an
item bundle at no cost from the in-game shop, and complete event-exclusive
Field Research tasks to receive Rare Candy and Poké Balls.
Incense activated during this magical event will attract
different types of Pokémon during each hour. Below is a breakdown of which
types of Pokémon will be attracted when.

11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Psychic-type Pokémon will be attracted

12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Ghost-type Pokémon and Dark-type Pokémon will be attracted

1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.: Psychic-type Pokémon will be attracted
-
2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Ghost-type Pokémon and Dark-type Pokémon will be attracted

3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Psychic-type Pokémon will be attracted
-
4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Ghost-type Pokémon and Dark-type Pokémon will be attracted
During Psychic-type hours, Pokémon like Exeggcute, Jynx,
Natu, Girafarig, Spoink, Beldum, and Munna will be appearing. If you’re very
lucky, you might even encounter a Galarian Ponyta or an Espeon! Pokémon appearing
during Ghost- and Dark-type hours will include Alolan Rattata, Poochyena,
Sableye, Carvanha, Duskull, Drifloon, and Purrloin. Lucky Trainers might even
find a Scraggy or a Litwick!
As the Season changes, different Pokémon will begin
appearing in the wild, including some that will appear only in specific landscapes
and hemispheres. Trainers in cities and other urban environments can expect to
encounter Pokémon such as Shuppet, Trubbish, and Gothita. Teddiursa, Karrablast,
Shelmet, and others will soon be found frolicking through forests. In mountainous
landscapes, you can expect to see an abundance of Geodude, Rhyhorn, Slugma, and
others. Wander near water and you may soon find Krabby, Horsea, Mantine, and
other Water-type Pokémon.
Trainers in the northern hemisphere can expect to encounter
Jigglypuff, Paras, Slowpoke, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Larvitar, Bidoof, Autumn
Form Deerling, and Stunfisk. Trainers in the southern hemisphere will soon see Clefairy,
Chansey, Dratini, Roselia, Combee, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Tympole, and Spring
Form Deerling appearing in the wild.
Making the most of this mischievous season, Ditto will be appearing
disguised as several different Pokémon, such as Gastly, Drowzee, Teddiursa, Remoraid,
Gulpin, Numel, Stunky, Dwebble, and Foongus.
The Season of Mischief also offers egg-cellent opportunities
to earn and hatch Eggs. Certain Pokémon will hatch more frequently from certain
Eggs.

Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, Barboach, Drifloon, and more will be hatching from 2 km Eggs.

Seel, Pineco, Sableye, Chingling, and more will be hatching from 5 km Eggs.

Audino, Mienfoo, and more will be hatching from 10 km Eggs.

Cranidos, Shieldon, female Frillish, and more will be hatching from 5 km Eggs earned from Adventure Sync.

Riolu, Deino, Noibat, and more will be hatching from 10 km Eggs earned from Adventure Sync.
But that’s not all. Mega-Evolved Pokémon will make mega
mischief in the coming months: a different Mega-Evolved Pokémon will receive a
CP boost during each month of the Season! In September, Mega Slowbro will get a
CP boost. In October, Mega Gengar will enjoy a CP boost. And finally, in
November, Mega Houndoom will benefit from a CP boost.
