This ICv2 calendar tracks the release dates of Magic: The Gathering sets made by Wizards of the Coast. The calendar begins with releases coming out in January 1, 2022 and runs till January 1, 2023 (this is a running article that will be located in the Calendar section of the ICv2 website).
Q1 2022 Releases
Innistrad: Double Feature
Release Date: Q1
Innistrad: Double Feature is a unique draft set that will be exclusively arriving at FLGS in early 2022 (see “‘Magic: The Gathering’ Releases“). This set features selected cards from both Innistrad: Midnight Hunt (see “‘Innistrad: Midnight Hunt’ Products“) and Innistrad: Crimson Vow (see “‘Innistrad: Crimson Vow’“) with special art treatment, which is reminiscent of monster movies produced in the 30s and 40s.
Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty
Release Date: Q1
The first Standard set coming out in 2022 is Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, which will arrive in Q1. It is set 2000 years after the first Kamigawa set in fantasy cyberpunk world (see “2022 ‘Magic: The Gathering’ Standard Sets“).
Q2 2022 Releases
Streets of New Capenna
Release Date: Q2
Streets of New Capenna is a set that features a city built by angels that is now ruled by demon crime families (see “2022 ‘Magic: The Gathering’ Standard Sets“).
Unfinity
Release Date: Q2
This set is based on the idea of a retro-futuristic space carnival (see “‘D&D’ and ‘Masters’ Sets“).
Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate
Release Date: Q2
Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur’s Gate is a new set focusing on the city of Baldur’s Gate from D&D lore (see “‘D&D’ and ‘Masters’ Sets“).
Q3 2022 Releases
Dominaria United
Release Date: Q3
Dominaria United showcases the iconic heroes and villains that are rooted in Magic’s origin plane in new Standard rotation cards (see “2022 ‘Magic: The Gathering’ Standard Sets“).
Double Masters 2022
Release Date: Q3
This reprint set comes with two foil cards and two rare or mythic rare cards in each Draft pack (see “‘D&D’ and ‘Masters’ Sets“).
Q4 2022 Releases
The Brothers War
Release Date: Q4
The Brothers War tells the story of the battles between Urza and Mishra that devastated the plane of Dominaria. The story for this set was hinted via the archaeological evidence found in Antiquities set (see “2022 ‘Magic: The Gathering’ Standard Sets“).
Jumpstart 2022
Release Date: Q4
This set contains dozens of different themed boosters to combine and play with (see “‘D&D’ and ‘Masters’ Sets“).

Secret Lair: Fortnite
Release Date: 2022
This Secret Lair Drop features characters from Fortnite (see “‘Magic’ ‘Universes Beyond,’ ‘Secret Lairs’ Revealed“).
Secret Lair: Street Fighter
Release Date: 2022
This Secret Lair Drop that features characters from Street Fighter, celebrating the video game’s 35th Anniversary (see “‘Magic’ ‘Universes Beyond,’ ‘Secret Lairs’ Revealed“).
MTG: Universes Beyond – Warhammer 40,000
Release Date: Later in 2022
WotC will release four Commander decks set in the Warhammer 40k universe (see “‘Magic’ ‘Universes Beyond,’ ‘Secret Lairs’ Revealed“).
2023 Releases
MTG: Universes Beyond – The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth
Release Date: 2023
WotC announced a new Magic booster set based on J.R.R.Tolkien’s LotR saga (see “‘Magic’ ‘Universes Beyond,’ ‘Secret Lairs’ Revealed“).
