Dragons hoard gold. That’s something everyone knows. But one thing you might not know is that they also enter into agreements with mice in order to trick other dragons out of their gold and especially their coveted magic items. It’s this interplay between mice, dragons, and who has the best hoard that’s the centerpiece of Wicked & Wise, a new asymmetric trick-taking card game that’s up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
Dragons compete in a variety of ways, but one of their favorite ways is by playing trick taking games. In Wicked & Wise, players are either the Dragons that are playing a trick taking game OR they’re the Mouse that is allied with a particular Dragon that’s helping to manipulate the trick taking game.
Over the course of three rounds, each team of Mouse and Dragon fight over tricks, treasures, and coins, to see which team is the winner! The game isn’t all about winning tricks, either, it’s also about setting goals and utilizing magical treasures. If one can make enough of their goals or sabotage enough of the other team’s goals, they’ll have the most coins at the end of the game and will be crowned king of the caves!
Wicked & Wise is an asymmetric, team versus team card game for 2 – 6 players that runs between 45 and 75 minutes, depending on how many teams are playing.
The campaign’s up and over its funding goal with 21 days left to go.
