Walt Simonson |
Battlestar Galactica v1 #16, 1980 – Stopping by a remote planet to refuel, the fleet as unexpectedly attacked by an advanced cylon known as the Mark III. Like the cover, Walt Simonson inks his own pencils for the first time on the series. A few panels could use more definition, but overall his artwork is eclectic and thrilling. The best scenes occur on pages 14-23, where the aerial dogfighting moves closer to the planet’s surface. This is #8 of 14 Battlestar Galactica issues by Simonson (sans reprints).
